Fano began his career training Peace Corps volunteers on qualitative research and analysis methods in his home country of Madagascar. Since emigrating to the United States several years ago, he has worked as a data analyst and systems expert for New York-based nonprofit organizations including Rainforest Alliance and the Brooklyn Museum.
A solutions architect with a preference for user-centric solutions, Fano has deep experience conducting user acceptance testing and adapting training approaches for clients of varying technical abilities. He is comfortable working with medium and small organizations in the process of scaling and/or modernizing their data infrastructure, with specific experience in improving fundraising data infrastructure. He has a passion for crafting story-driven data analytics and visualizations in support of social good.
Fano lives in Brooklyn with his wife and daughter. When not tinkering with open-source virtual machine technologies, he is organizing pen and paper role playing games with his friends scattered all over the globe.
